What is intermittent fasting?
Intermittent fasting is an eating pattern where you alternate between periods of eating and fasting (not eating).
It does not take into account what you eat, but rather when you eat.
The most common methods are the 16/8, 5:2 method, and the eat-stop-eat method.
The goal is to eat nothing or as little as possible during your fasting periods. The aim is not to limit the quantity or quality of the food you eat, but rather focussed on the timing of food intake. As in many cases you just eat once or maximum twice a day, you’ll automatically eat less. This way you lower your calorie intake from a regular 3-4 meal day. For many intermittent fasting even has health benefits besides the weight loss, like increase in skin quality, lowering inflammations and a clear mind.
Is intermittent fasting healthy?
